On November 19, 2024, the Southern Ontario Network for Advanced Manufacturing Innovation (SONAMI), in partnership with the Walker Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre (WAMIC) and the School of Media, Trades & Technology at Niagara College, successfully hosted a round table and tour focused on the marine transportation industry.
Operating in Port Colborne since 1997, Allied Marine and Industrial provides technical and industrial services to ships moving up and down the Canal, through the Great Lakes and further afield. For ships in need of repair, help is in sight of the Welland Canal – literally.
